soulful photos for kind humans
I’m a visual anthropologist.
I’m Rachel — a witness and storyteller.
I’m a lover, a feeler, a truth-teller, an optimist.
I document real life as it unfolds—
the in-between moments, the quiet details,
the way a home holds a family,
the way people soften when they feel safe to be seen.
Most people think they need big milestones captured.
But what I’ve learned is this:
the moments you’ll ache to remember are often the ones you almost overlooked.
The way your kid reaches for your hand.
The way your partner looks at you when you’re not paying attention.
The life you’re living, right now, before it changes again.
I picked up a camera my senior year of high school and spent a year living with and documenting a family.
Since then, I’ve been invited into hundreds of lives—
strangers, at first—
who, by the end, feel like people I’ve always known.
This work is tender.
It’s collaborative.
It’s about trust.
You don’t need to perform here.
You just need to show up.
I’ll take care of the seeing.

Don’t just tell your story, show it.
I document founders, creatives, and small business owners in the middle of building something real—not just the finished product, but the process, the people, and the life around it.

You bring your people.
I’ll document everybody.

A tiny time capsule of this season of life — simple, relaxed, and over before anyone has time to feel awkward.
You don’t need a special occasion to document your life.
Who am I?
I’m Rachel—photographer, superconnector, and someone who believes life is better when we slow down enough to actually see each other.
For the last decade, I’ve documented love, families, and the quiet moments most people overlook—
following people through change, across time.
My work is less about posing—
and more about noticing.
Witnessing people as they become.
Most photography tries to smooth things over.
I don’t.
We all contain multitudes.
You can be grieving and grateful.
Certain and completely undone.
In love with your life—and longing for something more.
I’m here for all of it.
